The Process
From consultation to aftercare
Four steps, one calendar — you don't need to know your method, weight or colour before you book. That's what the consultation is for.

Consultation
A 30-min 1:1 appointment where we get to know your hair needs and desires, assess your scalp and hair condition, give advice and guidance, and expertly match colour, weight and a suitable method for you.

Preparation
Need to cover greys or a washed-out colour? Does your natural hair need a trim, or would you like to trial how a method will feel? No worries — we can add all of this into your prep plan, ensuring everything is perfect for your fitting.

Fitting
Your fitting appointment. Your £25 consultation fee is redeemed against the cost today. Fitting, shaping and styling takes approx. 1.5–3.5 hours depending on your plan; we'll let you know the approximate time at consultation. During your fitting, take advantage of our drinks menu — just ask a staff member.

Aftercare
Following your fitting you'll receive an aftercare guide to take home. We offer a standard aftercare pack you can purchase, or receive free as part of our total care plans. Before you leave we'll run through your maintenance plan and book in appointments if you wish. Want care-free hair extensions? Ask about our total care plan.

We are differentAt ‘Beaux Cheveux’ we are different. Our owner Katie Balbach is a trained children's nurse with a love for design, art and beautiful things. After leaving her role in mental health services, Katie started Beaux Cheveux leading with a desire to help people feel confident with how they look, no matter their need to access our services. We understand that having luxury hair extensions for some isn't just an accessory — it's everything, it's an investment in yourself.
Why are we different? We don't just fit your extensions — we make time to understand your needs, your hair's texture and density, your scalp condition, to firstly ensure the investment you make is right for you. We prepare your own natural hair, fit your extensions efficiently and professionally, and then we create an aftercare plan with you to protect your investment and ensure your extensions live out their expected lifespan. Our total care plans take all of the worry about looking after your hair extensions away — we do everything from maintenance, blow-drys and re-fits to providing you with the best recommended products that will protect your hair. We also know that hair extensions can be costly, and people often can't afford to care for them, which inevitably reduces the hair's lifespan — therefore we have created the North East's only hair-extensions service that you pay for monthly.

The Girls' Club
Calling all of our girlies aged 5–12 — come and join us for some pampering.
Pick three, then play
Every guest chooses three services — temporary tattoos, nano tinsel hair pieces, glitter hair spray, braids with beads (simple plaits), festival make-up or hair gems — then everything else is free to enjoy: mocktails, make your own crown, mask, wearable mirror or comb, music and a photo booth frame. Everyone goes home with their very own hair gift.

A trained children's nurse with a long-standing love of fashion, interiors and design. After the NHS, Katie opened Beaux Cheveux to help clients achieve their greatest hair desires — to feel good, and reach their potential with confidence. She works assessment-first: every fitting starts with a consultation, with clinical standards of hygiene, patch testing and record-keeping as standard.

Twelve years behind the chair — in Ireland, Australia and the UK, most recently at Toni & Guy — and it shows in the finish. Aimee cuts, blends and styles a set of extensions until the join is invisible and nobody can tell where your own hair stops. She works alongside Katie on every fitting, on colour-match blending and on the maintenance plans that keep an existing client's hair wearing as it should, with a real passion for transformations and long hair.

Before you book
Do I need to know which method I want before booking?
No — that's what the £25 colour-match consultation is for. You'll leave knowing your method, weight and colour, matched in person.
Is the £25 consultation fee refundable?
Your £25 is redeemed against the cost of your fitting appointment — it isn't a separate charge on top.
Can I spread the cost?
You can spread the cost with Klarna, now available through Fresha at checkout. Book online any time via Fresha, or message or call us — whichever you prefer.
Is the hair really 100% Remy?
Yes — every fitting uses luxury 100% Remy hair, cuticle-aligned so it wears and blends as your own hair does. We're a recommended provider of GL (Great Lengths) hair, our top range, and we also supply Euphoria One as our mid range. With proper care, GL extensions last up to 12 months.
What deposit do you take, and what if I need to rearrange?
A 50% deposit secures your booking. Give us 72 hours' notice and we'll happily refund or rearrange it; inside 72 hours the deposit is forfeited. Your £25 consultation fee is separate, and comes off the cost of your fitting.
How long between consultation and fitting?
Typically 1–2 weeks, depending on your chosen method and current availability — we'll confirm a date at your consultation.
